The first webinar in The Power of Peer series was held on 28 June 2022. It was a great evening where like-minded people, with a generous sprinkling of lived experience, came together to connect, listen, learn and have good conversation about the power of peer and its positive impact on individuals and communities.
The second webinar in this series will be held on Wednesday 27 July 2022, 6.00 p.m. – 7.30 p.m. AWST and you can book your spot on Eventbrite here: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/the-power-of-peer-2-tickets-375719897327
The Power of Peer Webinar Series showcases different ways peer and lived experience effects positive change in communities.
We believe that when people connect, the alchemy of their unique skills and strengths builds individual and community capacity. Through the sharing of story and showcasing, the Power of Peer series’ goal is to drive localized interest in the power of peer and uncover ways in which disability peers can leverage from this network to overcome barriers of social exclusion.
For the second in The Power of Peer webinar series we are delighted to have Simon Duffy, President of the Citizen Network UK to present on The Power of Peer.
Simon has been working with people with learning disabilities for the last 32 years. He works as a philosopher, an activist and an advocate of policy change, in England and internationally and we are excited to hear about the amazing and powerful work he and his networks are undertaking in communities that are a true example of the power of peer and its positive impact .

We’d love to have you join us for more peer learning and conversation and look forward to seeing you on 27 July!
