“My 29-year-old daughter is supported by Valued Lives to live her most typical life within her community. Our family chose Valued Lives to be her support provider for many reasons, but the following were of most importance to us; Valued Lives’ absolute commitment to my daughter and our family self-directing our supports, honouring the authority of our family in the construct of the care/supports for my daughter and the fact that Valued Lives itself is run and controlled by people with lived experience of disabilities and family members.

In the time that she has been supported by Valued Lives, my daughter’s life has changed dramatically and our family dynamic has been normalized. It took a lot of time, support and guidance that resulted in my daughter moving out of the family home 5 years ago into her own home, where she is supported to live her life as independently as possible. This is an outcome that we could only have dreamed of prior to our engagement of Valued Lives as our service provider. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Valued Lives to other people with disability and their families.”

“We have had the pleasure of being with Valued Lives since 2017, and want to say a huge thank you, to Valued Lives, and all your wonderful Support Workers and Office Staff for all the love and care Michael has received in this time. Craig, Lindsay, and the Girls have all been a huge part of his transition to Independent Living.

“Our family are so grateful for all the support we receive and as we watch our children grow, become active members of the community and enjoying life, we know that is because of the team and support we receive.”

“Our family feels enormously grateful to have found the Valued Lives team.

My brother Paul suffers from Paranoid Schizophrenia. Life can be a real challenge for him on a day by day basis. Unfortunately he no longer has his parents to provide support in Perth. I am based in Queensland and can only offer phone support. The need for a great support organisation like Valued lives was very important for us.

Bronia Holyoak is an outstanding leader and a great communicator. With very clear direction and great empathy for the suffering of others, but most importantly she can see a positive future state in the midst of challenging environments.

Paul’s day to day support from Craig Robb makes a significant difference in his life. His relationship has core elements of fun and humour but also educational aspects to help improve his outcomes in the day to day challenges that face him.

“Accessing support coordination through Valued Lives has been a game changer in terms of finding supports and opportunities for Raymond. The calibre of knowledge and experience of our support coordinator has put us in an outstanding position to navigate NDIS, future planning and other resources. It’s always lovely catching up with Kristen for a chat, a laugh and the chance to share wisdom”

“Over the years Kristen and the team at Valued Lives have become our lifeline. There is no limit to the knowledge, empathy and kindness that they have shown to our family. Our lives can be challenging, but are made so much easier through the support given by Valued Lives.
