We are excited to share that Valued Lives’ Innovative Employment Project team will be offering our innovative employment services in the South West and are now working to set up an Innovative Employment Hub in Bunbury!
The Innovative Employment team have noticed ongoing community need for innovative employment services, offering unique, personalised approaches to employment, based on an individual’s skills, passions and interests.
Ethyn Amat, artist and Innovative Employment business owner with Valued Lives Innovative Employment Project, has not yet had the opportunity to connect with many Innovative Employment business owners as a Bunbury local. Our Bunbury hub would allow Innovative Employment business owners like Ethyn, the opportunity to engage with like-minded entrepreneurs in a welcoming, vibrant, community-oriented environment.
Our Bunbury Hub, like our Fremantle Hub, will be a co-working space for local Innovative Employment business owners and those undertaking the discovery process to connect, create and build skills and much-needed local networks. The space will also be utilised by the members of the Valued Lives team.
Growth of our services into the South West and surrounding region, will allow our team to connect with local stakeholders, while continuing to deliver our tried and tested, award-winning model of service-delivery. As our team frequently receives enquiries that add to our waitlist, this growth will also create opportunities for additions to our team internally.
We particularly see consistent community demand for suitable School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) extending across the Perth Metropolitan area and the South West. Valued Lives has developed systems to support the implementation of an individualised capacity building and skill development model, focusing on creating valuable potential work experience opportunities for school leavers within the community, according to individuals’ interests and future goals.
As they grow, theTeam will be seeking ongoing opportunities for partnership with the wider Bunbury community – do you own a local business with potential work experience opportunities? Do you know of any members of the local community who could share their entrepreneurial skills and experience with our Innovative Employment business owners?
