Website goes live

Valued Lives New Website – Now Live….

Our new website is a fresh, bright and easy to navigate multimedia window that conveys the vital message to vulnerable people, their families and supporters, that they have a genuine voice, real choice and real control when it comes to the services and supports they want/need to enable them to live their best lives.

With our new website now live, we have created an essential tool that helps us to capture and communicate the vision we have for you and/or your family member to live as independently as possible within the community. A means of informing you of the support we can give you in the self-direction of your supports and services and ways to assist you with the design and planning needed to help you reach your future goals.

Perth based social enterprise web designers – Workpower have helped us create this, modern, functional, and resourceful website that we hope reflects the spirit of Valued Lives and the work we do. Not only does the site reflect our new look brand colours and logo, but also with its improved navigability, accessibility and usability functions, it should enable you greater access to information about our work in supporting you or your family member plan their best life. Lili Reicken photography has brilliantly captured the essence of Valued Lives work with families just like you in planning their best future and our Copy Editor has ensured uniformity of messages and information throughout the website.

There is huge scope throughout the new site which, in the near future, will see the introduction of a members portal whereby those of you who have chosen to self–manage your funds can log in and check your financial status, budget, advertising for personal assistants and decide where best to use your resources.

Other key features of the site are:

  • An NDIS information section
  • A Media section offering reports, news and press releases
  • Links throughout the website providing a quick and convenient way of finding disability/mental health services information and other key websites that support people with special needs and their supporters
  • A Life stories section whereby people who have engaged Valued Lives’ help to plan their futures, share their stories

We are also planning, down the track, to add in a calendar of events that will keep you informed of dates not to be missed; various workshops and peer-to-peer network meetings, as well our very own You Tube channel.

Our challenge in creating this new website was to always ensure our site was ‘user friendly’, that we communicate relevant content to you, while making sure our new ‘Valued Lives’ brand identity and core values are also communicated. It was also crucial to provide you with a seamless, engaging web experience that helped you to fully understand that we are all about encouraging you to have real choice, real control and a genuine voice that will be heard in the planning of your own future. If you have any feedback, we’d love to hear from you via email at info@valuedlives.org.au
