Perspective Through Clay

June 21 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm AWST

A Ceramics Workshop on Self-Expression & Identity (2 day Workshop)

Join us for a unique and inclusive ceramics workshop that goes beyond traditional pottery—inviting you to explore perspective, identity, and self-expression through clay.

Two Day Event

Part One: Saturday 21/6/25 12pm – 3pm

Part Two: Sunday 22/6/25 12pm – 3pm

Guided by Tay (they/he), a passionate ceramicist with lived experience of Tourette’s and autism, this workshop blends technical skill-building with deep personal reflection in a safe and welcoming environment. You’ll learn fundamental clay techniques—including pinch pots, coils, and slab building—and use them to create meaningful artworks that tell your story.

We’ll begin by exploring how we see others, creating a piece that represents someone else’s perspective. From there, you’ll be invited to reflect inward and create a personal piece that expresses your own identity and experiences.

This workshop is perfect for all experience levels—from first-time creators to seasoned artists. Expect a vibrant, collaborative atmosphere filled with creativity, connection, and plenty of laughter.

What’s Included:

  • Hands-on instruction in core ceramic techniques
  • All materials and tools provided
  • A welcoming, inclusive space with accessibility considerations
  • Light refreshments provided
  • Your unique ceramic pieces will be professionally fired and can be collected after the event
